Robert “Archy” Archambault, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 12, 2014.

Archy was born on May 1, 1937, in Argyle, NY to the late George and Helen (Hart) Archambault.

On April 1, 1989, he married the love of his life, Isabel Piscitelli, in Saratoga Springs. They spent 25 years together raising their children and making a home for their family.

He worked as a supervisor and millwright with Finch Paper for 35 years. Following retirement from the paper mill he drove for Stanski Transportation.

First and foremost in Archy’s life were his children and grandchildren. He was also an avid outdoorsman and longtime member of the Hudson Falls Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed hunting and participating in both firearm and bow and arrow shooting competitions. He rode motorcycles with his friends and family and twice attended national rallies in Laconia, NH.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy stationed in Hawaii and served as a flight mechanic before being honorably discharged.

In addition to his parents, Archy was predeceased by his brother, George Archambault, and his wife, Lois.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Isabel Archambault; his daughter, Diane Whaley; his son, Bobby Archambault; his daughter, Suzanne Havens, and her husband, Tony; his son, Tom Archambault; his daughter, Miki Havens; his step-son, Joe Packard, and his wife, Sue; his step-son, Tony Packard, and his wife, Michelle; his grandchildren: Zack, Nic and, Clayton Havens and Ronnie Rock; Joe, Celia, Alexandra and Denali Packard; as well as Leah, Ryan and Kevin Whaley, and sister in-law, Cora Piscitelli.

Friends may call on the family between 3 and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. Online condolences may be posted at kilmerfuneralhome.com.

A memorial service will be held immediately after visitation with Rev. Thomas Babuich, pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Edward, officiating. Burial will take place on a later date at the convenience of the family.
