Betty J. (Krupa) Matteson, 69, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Albany Medical Center.

Born March 31, 1945, in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Duga) Krupa.

Betty completed her Master’s Degree in Education in 1968 at SUNY Oneonta, and in 1969, she married the love of her life, David Matteson in Little Falls, NY.

Betty was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glens Falls. She also taught the three and four year old classes at the United Methodist Church of South Glens Falls Day Nursery School for 28 years.

Betty loved to garden and filled her home with plants of all kinds. She loved summer flowers such as petunias, and was a voracious reader. Most of all, Betty loved to visit her favorite furry Labrador retriever mix, Bella.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, David Matteson, her daughter Michele Crisafulli and her husband Carlo, her sister Eleanor Timmerman and her husband Ronald, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her “grand-dog” Bella.
