GLENS FALLS
Margaret J. Middleton, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 25, 1924 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Achille and Maria (Aurelio) DiRubbo.
On Sept. 18, 1955, she married the love of her life, Curtis Middleton, in Vermont. Curtis passed away in 2013 after 58 years of marriage.
Margaret was the anchor of her family and instilled a strong sense of pride in her children and grandchildren of their Italian heritage. She and Curtis loved to vacation in Maine and Florida. Margaret loved to host Sunday dinners where all family and friends were welcome, and she will always be remembered for her selfless spirit and putting others before herself.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Margaret was predeceased by her two sisters; Columbia Bergeron and Giovannina DiRubbo.
Margaret is survived by her children; Deborah Bacon and her husband Douglas, Michael Middleton and his wife Pam, David Middleton and his wife Theresa, and Michelle Randall and her husband Robert, her grandchildren; Michael Middleton and his wife Sue Dinolfo, Jennifer Shippee and her husband Chad, Jessica Randall, Benjamin Randall and his fiancée Cassandra Chiaravelle, Adam Randall, Bradley Middleton and his fiancée Elizabeth West, and Melanie Middleton; her great-grandchildren; Sophia, Jacob, Adrianna, Parker, Julianna, and Gianna, her sister, Olivia Paxson and her husband James, her brother-in-law Victor Middleton and his wife Barbara, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Margaret’s request, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803. To leave online condolences or to view Margaret’s Book of Memories, please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.
Funeral services and Rite of Committal for the family will be private. Pallbearers for Margaret will be Michael Middleton, Benjamin Randall, Adam Randall, Bradley Middleton, Jeffery Griffin and Chad Shippee, as well as honorary pallbearers Emrich Schrammel and Joseph Bennett.
