Norma Inman, 81, of Granville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Indian River Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in Granville.

Born on July 18, 1933 in Hartford she was the ninth and last child of the late Milton and Mae (Allen) Chapin.

On October 30, 1971 she married Earl L. Inman at the Baptist Church in Hartford. She was a graduate of Hartford Central School, Class of 1951. Norma was employed at Security Supply in Glens Falls as a bookkeeper for many years. She also worked at Woodcock Well drilling in Hartford and as Assistant Town Clerk in Argyle.

She enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football. In her free time she enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home. Norma also loved spending time with her family.

Besides her parents, Norma was also predeceased by her husband, Earl L. Inman; her eight siblings, Nettie Hoffer, Ruth Armstrong, Floyd Chapin, Catherine McCabe, Betty Breason, Agnes Yole, Jean Knowlton and Robert Chapin.

Left to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins; her two sister in-laws Pat Hayes and Melanie Chapin.

A Funeral service will be conducted immediately following the calling hour at 2pm, at the funeral home, with Reverend Patti Girard, Pastor of the Hartford Yoked Parish, officiating.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Morningside Cemetery, Hartford.

Donations can be made to the Indian River Rehabilitation and Nursing Home’s activity fund, 17 Madison St. Granville, NY 12832.

Her close family would like to thank the staff at Indian River for the care and compassion shown to their loved one during her stay.
