Elizabeth “Betty” (Arrigoni) DiBattista, 90, formerly of South Glens Falls, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2015 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 2, 1925 in Lawrence, PA, she was a twin daughter of the late Antonio and Barbara (Paroli) Arrigoni.

On May 31, 1947, Betty married the love of her life, Carl DiBattista in St. Elizabeth’s Church in Hills Station, PA.

Betty was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Bereavement Committee.

Betty worked for CR Bard for over 20 years until her retirement. She was also an avid volunteer, giving of her time to Meals on Wheels, The Blood Mobile, and at the polls on voting day. She loved to play Bingo and make crafts, as well as traveling the country with her husband, especially to Florida.

In addition to her parents, Betty is predeceased by her twin sister Sylvia Arrigoni as well as several other siblings, her son Carl Gerard “Jerry” DiBattista, and her great-grandson, Marcus Kenneth Grieve.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, Carl DiBattista, her children; Carol Hawkins, Michael DiBattista and his wife Janet Paine, Bernard DiBattista and his wife Debra, Martin DiBattista and his wife Jill, Diane DiBattista and her husband Fran Allen, James DiBattista and his wife Kristen, her daughter-in-law Rose Cottrell, her grandchildren; Peter Teubert and his wife Noelle, Shane Teubert, Deidre Grieve, Daniele Fish and her husband Jonathan, Mark DiBattista and his wife Beth, Megan Weinlein and her husband Russell, Nina Cuff and her husband Ryan, Melissa DiBattista, and Alec and Ava DiBattista, her great-grandchildren; Shelby and Marit Teubert, Ayden Grieve, Alyson and Ashlyn Fish, Gianna and Mia DiBattista, and Ella and Henry Weinlein, a sister Dora Arrigoni, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave, South Glens Falls, NY with Rev. Guy A. Childs, Pastor officiating.

Rite of Committal will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Glens Falls in the spring.
