Arnold M. “Bootsie” “Clem” Goodsell, 76, passed away on Monday April 27, 2015 at the Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Fort Ann on September 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Leon and Lola (Murray) Goodsell.

He attended Fort Ann High School.

On November 2, 1957, he married Marlene Norton in Fort Ann.

Arnold worked for the Village of Hudson Falls in the Water Department for over 35 years.

He enjoyed working outside, wood crafts, gardening, going to camp, farming on his own farm, and he especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Arnold was a member of the Carpenter Hose Volunteer Fire Company.

Besides his parents, Arnold is predeceased by his four brothers, Owen, Richard, Robert, and Clifford Goodsell, second wife, Dorothy Goodsell, and one daughter in-law, Heidi Goodsell.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Marlene Goodsell, children, Leon Goodsell and wife Michele, Daryl Goodsell and wife Katie, Dale Goodsell, Gail Goodspeed and husband John, Arlene Wells, and husband Roger, Anna Zendell and husband Steve, and Laura Goodsell and husband Robert Taylor, 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, siblings, Barbara Goodsell, Harold Goodsell and wife Gerry, Donald Goodsell and wife Joan, Mary Webb, and one brother in-law, Gary Norton, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Robert McCrory, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hudson Falls, officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Prospect Hill, Argyle.
