Obituary for Jo-Ann Palma Bruce (LaLonde)

QUEENSBURY

Jo-Ann (LaLonde) Bruce, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Glens Falls Hospital with her family by her side.

Born November 19, 1937, in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Godfrey and Frances Beatrice (Lafrenier) LaLonde.

Jo-Ann married Leo E. Bruce on January 15, 1978 in South Glens Falls, and raised her family with him until his passing in January of 2006.

Jo-Ann was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed scratch off tickets and crocheting. She had a fondness for all animals, especially her dogs. Most of all, Jo-Ann loved being a mother and grandmother and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Jo-Ann is predeceased by her brothers; Robert LaLonde, Arthur LaLonde, Jack LaLonde, and Godfrey Lalonde Jr., and her sister Margaret Didio.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Fred Blanchard and his wife Theresa, Tracy Blanchard and his loving companion Casey Destefano, Shari Seybolt and her husband Fred, Leo E. Bruce, and Brian J. Bruce, her grandchildren; Fred Blanchard III and his wife Michelle, Tesha Drinkwine and her husband Luke, Anne Blanchard and her fiancé Cody Fulmer, Erin Blanchard, Adam Seybolt and his wife Sarah, Craig Seybolt and his wife Antoinette, Jarrod Seybolt, and Brent Seybolt, her great-grandchildren; Fred Blanchard IV, Alexander Blanchard, Wesley and Aiden Rhodes, Lyric Fulmer, Braeden and Eleanor Seybolt, and Madelyn, Owen, and Blake Seybolt, as well as her sister Peg Fisher and her husband Jim, and her brothers, Jay LaLonde and his wife Marlene, and Terry LaLonde and his wife Beth, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10am on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Queensbury, NY for both Jo-Ann and Leo.
