Obituary for Douglas Edward Paquette

Kingsbury
Douglas E. Paquette, 54, of Kingsbury, passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2015, after a long battle with numerous medical issues.

Born on August 16, 1960, in Glens Falls NY, he was the son of the late George and Helen (McCotter) Paquette and the youngest of five children.

Doug graduated from Fort Edward High School and went on to attend ACC for a short time. He started his career working at Grand Union markets for several years, he then moved onto work for Tops Markets as a grocery manager until they closed their stores in the area. After Tops Markets closed he went to work for Hannaford Supermarkets in Saratoga as a night manager until his disabilities made it impossible for him to work any longer.

Doug enjoyed playing golf until his disabilities made that impossible. He then especially enjoyed watching football, golf and other sports on TV. His cats, Sylvester and Egypt were extremely good company for him and they will miss him dearly.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by one brother in law, Art Byers.

Left to cherish his memory are his two brothers, David Paquette and his wife, Kathy, of Hudson Falls and Don Paquette and his wife, Gail, of Fort Edward; his two sisters, Sandy Byers, of Queensbury and Sharon Osier and her husband, Fred, of Haines City, FL; as well as six nieces and nephews.

At Doug’s request there will be no calling hours or services. To view Doug’s Book of Memories and to post online condolences, please visit our website at www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.
