Obituary for Betty Lou Smith
Hartford
Betty Lou Smith, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Born on July 5, 1946 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Moore) McNeil.
Betty was a 1965 graduate of Argyle Central School and the class just celebrated their 50th class reunion. Along with her husband Roger, the couple were seasoned travelers, having traveled to 47 states. Betty enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens, shopping and hunting for antiques, but mostly visiting with her family and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Roger Lee Smith, who passed away on Feb. 6, 2010.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, Douglas L. Smith and his wife Cheryl of Queensbury and their two children, Xandria and Deven; and Tracy A. Smith and his wife Aya of Wynantskill and their son, Winston; her siblings, Mary Smith and Clate Ballard and Irene and Henrick Rupp all of Hudson Falls, Charles and Alice McNeil of Cossayuna and Charlotte House of Gouveneur as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery, Hartford.
