Nicholas John "Ghitto"  Sabo Sr.
ARGYLE

Nicholas Sabo Sr., 75, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Whitehall on October 28, 1939 , he was the son of the late Sabo and Emma (Rodd) Sabo Sr.

He was a graduate of Whitehall High School class of 1957. Following high school he attended Texas A&M.

Nick was in the Army Reserve for many years.

On January 28, 1961, he married Patricia A. Sabo.

Nick enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, looking at the stars, woodwork, cooking lemon meringue pie along with Lebanese/Syrian cooking and especially being with his family. He also built an Adirondack guide boat.

He was a member of the American Legion Argyle Post.

Besides his parents, Nick was predeceased by his wife Patricia A. Sabo, and son Nicholas J. Sabo Jr..

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Debbie Doyle of Argyle, Michele Sabo of Glens Falls, Melinda Sabo of Argyle; grandson Joe Sabo of Argyle; daughter-in-law Patty Sabo of Hudson Falls; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, at the Zion Episcopal Church 232 Main Street, Hudson Falls NY, 12839. Interment will follow.
