Obituary for John F Pullen Jr.

John F  Pullen Jr.
John F. Pullen Jr, 82 of Ferry Boulevard, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.

John was born on August 21, 1933 in Albany NY. He was the son of the late John F. Pullen Sr. and Laura (King) Pullen.

He graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He served in the Army from 1953-1955 and worked with the IRS from 1961 until he retired in November of 1990.

He married Judith (Girard) Pullen on August 30, 1988.

John loved to play Basketball and in 1990 he played in the Senior Olympics. He also enjoyed Racquet Ball, Golf, Bowling and was active in the Chinese Crested Rescue. He will forever be remembered for his beautiful smile, amazing sense of humor, outgoing personality and for the love he had for his family and his pets.

Besides his parents, John is predeceased by a brother, Fredrick Pullen; and daughter, Kendall Ann Smith. The family takes great comfort in knowing that he will be reunited with his beloved daughter as she was the love of his life.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judith (Girard) Pullen; his four sons, John Gary Pullen and his wife, Jewel, of Eldersburg, MD, Russell Pullen and his wife, Kim, of Orlando, FL, Randall Pullen and his wife, Kerrylee, of Gansevoort, NY, Matthew Granger and his fiancé, Marcy Hokama, of Brooklyn, NY; his brother, Russell Pullen and his wife, Diane, of Schenectady, NY; his sister, Barbara Bernard and her husband, Bob, of Citrus Springs, FL; grandchildren, Letizia and Robert Mastrantoni, of Glens Falls, NY, Chandler and Jake Pullen, of Gansevoort, NY, Tristan, Tirzah and Tia Pullen, of Orlando, FL, Keira Pullen, of Eldersburg, MD, and, Kendall Eddy, of Fort Edward, NY, who was also like a granddaughter to John.; plus one great granddaughter, Grace Kendall Mastrantoni.

A private burial will be held for the family and close friends.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 19, 2015 Humbuggs, 569 Gansevoort Rd. Fort Edward, NY. Anyone wishing to come celebrate his life, bring pictures or share your stories about John please feel free to stop by and celebrate with us.
