Obituary for Nancy L West (Wells)
Hudson Falls
Nancy L. (Wells) West, 85, of Hudson Falls passed away peacefully on November 26, 2015 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Center.
Born in Glens Falls on March 11, 1930 she was the daughter of the late, Jerry and Grace (Merrick) Wells.
Nancy attended Fort Ann High School graduating in the class of 1949 and attended the Elmira School of Nursing.
Nancy was a communicant of The Church of St. Mary’s/ St. Paul’s in Hudson Falls for many years, eventually volunteering her time after she retired.
She was employed after college as an RN at Glens Falls Hospital before becoming an O.R. nurse, where she remained until retirement.
Nancy enjoyed activities such as traveling, skiing, boating and camping on Lake George. She mostly loved the time she spent with her family and animals.
Nancy was a member of the Red Hat Society and after she retired she spent time volunteering at Glens Falls Hospital as well as The Church of St. Mary’s/ St. Paul’s.
Besides her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Robert A. West.
Left to cherish her memory are, her sons, Michael West and his wife, Donna, of Lake George, Mitchell West and his wife, Laurie, of Malta, Matthew West and his wife, Vicki, of Leicester, VT and Martin West and his wife, Cassandra, of Lake George; her twin sister, Sally Davis and her husband, Merrill, of Fort Ann; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday December 5, 2015 at The Church of St. Mary’s/ St. Paul’s, On the Park, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
