Obituary for Leonard Anthony "Potsie" LoFrisco

Leonard “Potsie” Anthony LoFrisco, of Apple Lane passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on April 17, 1934 and raised in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of the late, Anthony and Margaret LoFrisco.

On May 26, 1963, he married the love of his life, Barbara Schwetz and they spent 39 happy years together until her passing in 2002.

Leonard was an electrical engineer who was self-employed and traveled the country doing various jobs over the years.

He enjoyed spending time watching his grandchildren, Christopher and Jacob play baseball, umpiring little league and senior league baseball games, watching the NY Rangers as well as playing Golf. He was very passionate about the NY Rangers creating a social media page where he met many fans and made many friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and participating in political discussions.

Leonard served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1957 with the rank of PFC and serving in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his son in law, Matthew Bristol.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Geri LoFrisco, of Albany and Jeanette Bristol, of South Glens Falls. ”Potsie” had a very special bond with his two grandsons, Christopher and Jacob Bristol, of South Glens Falls; they were truly the light of his life.

Friends are invited to call from 3-5 pm on Sunday January 24 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
