Obituary for Robert Clyde Congdon

Robert Congdon, 84, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Washington Center after surviving with pancreatic cancer for 14 years.
Born September 6, 1931 he was the son of the late Clyde and Beulah (Mulholland) Congdon.
He was a motorcycle patrolman for Glens Falls Police Department for six years then became self-employed owning Safe Way Credit & several other businesses.
In 1963 he married the love of his life Janet Walbridge.
Robert enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janet Congdon; his sons, Vincent Congdon and Scott Congdon and his wife Saron; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Congdon; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Robert’s request there will be no calling hours or services.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in Roberts’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
