Obituary for Madge Thelma Woodcock (Osgood)

Hartford

Madge T. Woodcock, 77, passed away Sunday July 3, 2016 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home.

Born January 30, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Harold Sr. and Frances(Gannon) Osgood.

She graduated from Fort Edward Central School Class of 1958.

On November 29, 1978 she married Jim Woodcock at the Hartford Methodist Church.

Midge was a bartender for many years at Dew Drop Inn in Fort Edward and Mac’s Bar in Fort Edward.

She enjoyed NASCAR, camping, snowmobiling and being around people.

Midge was a past member of Hartford Ridge Riders.

In addition to her parents Midge was predeceased by her son, Reuban (Jack) Taylor; sisters, Joan Terrio and Jean Stanley; brothers, Harold Osgood Jr., James Osgood, John (Jack) Osgood and Robert Osgood.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jim Woodcock; daughter, Robin Taylor; sons, Rick Taylor and his companion Christa, Robert Taylor Jr. and his wife Dawn; stepdaughter, Tammy Barber and her husband John; stepson Jamie Woodcock and his wife Toni; brother, William Osgood; grandchildren, Michelle Taylor, Robbie Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Tiffany Taylor, Colton Barber, Logan Barber, Reagan Woodcock and Lucas Woodcock; along with several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff of Fort Hudson for their wonderful care for the last two and a half years.

At Midge’s request there will be no calling hours.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday July 7, 2016 at 11am at Morningside Cemetery Hartford, NY.

Memorial donations in Midge’s memory may be made to the Hartford Vol. Fire Company P.O. Box 121 Hartford, NY 12838.
