Dixie worked for C.R. Bard in Glens Falls, where she made great friends, and retired with many fond memories after 30 years of employment.

She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, dancing, music, staying at the family camp in Summit Lake, and caring for her dogs, Buffy and Bini.

In addition to her parents, Dixie was predeceased by her brother, Bob Dyke.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ken "Punkin" Dixon; seven children: Kim (Rob) Lafountain, Tony (Doreen) Kirk, Tom (Sheryl) Kirk, Kricket (Ken) Harrington, Mike (Karen) Kirk, Jeanne (Dave) LaBean, Kelly (Phil) Clark; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Nancie (Bryan) Bidwell; sister-in-law, Rena Dyke; and many, many friends.

Friends may call on the family, Friday, July 15, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803. At Dixie’s request, visitation will be casual.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11am in the funeral home with David Pronto, a friend of the family, officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Southside Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
