Phoebe Jean Killian, 77, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born in Glens Falls on July 26, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Richard F. and Eleanor G. (Gaudette) Maranville.

She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School class of 1958 where she excelled in field hockey. Jean furthered her education getting her degree in cosmetology at Colonna School of Cosmetology.

On July 18, 1964 she married the love of her life Robert Killian.

In the beginning of her working career Jean was employed as a hairdresser, then at the fashion shop in Glens Falls and after getting married she was a housewife for a dairy farmer.

Jean enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida, animals, yard work, sewing and going shopping with her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church Choir in Fort Edward.

In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her nephew, Ricky Maranville.

Left to cherish her memory includes her husband of 52 years, Robert Killian; daughter, Laurel Cormie and her husband Dan; grandchildren, Eden, Will, Derek and Daniel; brother, Richard Maranville; along with a large extended family.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A Memorial mass will be conducted on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Memorial donations in Jean’s memory may be made to S.P.C.A. of Upstate New York 588 Queensbury Ave, Queensbury, NY 12804.
