Hudson Falls

Marlene Beatrice Scally, 75, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her home.

Born September 19, 1940 she was the daughter of the Andrew and Beatrice (Betters) Cartier.

She attended Fort Ann Central School.

Marlene retired in June 2005 from Hudson Falls School District as a bus driver after 21 years of service.

On October 28, 1960 she married the love of her life Charles Scally on Chestnut Ridge Rd. in Queensbury.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, family, friends, camping and traveling.

In addition to her parents Marlene was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Blakeman.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 56 years, Charles Scally; her son, Charles D. Scally and his wife Sonya of Hudson Falls; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Scally of Hudson Falls, Gabrielle Scally, Dominique Scally of Hudson Falls and Charles Blakeman Jr. and his girlfriend Kelly of Argyle; great granddaughter Charley of Argyle; her siblings Andrew Cartier and his wife Ruth of Fort Ann, Janice Barot and her husband George of Hudson Falls, Regina Thomas and her husband James of California, Gary Cartier and his wife Brenda of Fort Ann, Donna Bell and her deceased husband Gordon of Fort Ann, Gail Tello and her husband Fausto of California and Duane Cartier and his wife Kendra of Fort Ann; son-in-law, Charles Blakeman; along with several nieces nephews and cousins.

At Marlene’s request there will be no calling hours or services.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
