Leo M. Casey, 75, passed away Saturday, November 05, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born September 25, 1941 in Glens Falls he was the son of the late Cornelius and Thelma (Dewey) Casey.
Leo was a 1960 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy of Glens Falls, SUNY Cobleskill and the University of Georgia where he received his Bachelors of Science. He worked at Saratoga County Social Services retiring in 1997. Following his retirement Leo ran the family farm in Gansevoort and trucked cattle and calf’s throughout New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.

Left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Christina Heinz and her husband Oliver; his son, Scott Casey both of Gansevoort; his former wife, Mary Lou Casey of Saratoga Springs; his brother, John J. Casey and his wife Virginia of Gansevoort and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Leo’s request there will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave. South Glens Falls with Rev. Guy A. Childs officiating.

Following the mass there will be a reception at the church.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Donations may be made in Leo’s memory to St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
