Obituary for Kenneth Liberty

Kenneth Liberty, 72, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital.

Born November 4, 1944 he was the son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Truesdale) Liberty.

Ken graduated from South Glens Falls High School. He was a communicant of St. Michaels Church in South Glens Falls. Ken retired from General Electric in Fort Edward after 31 years of service.

He enjoyed camping, trips to Disney, Miami, world history and the NY Giants.

He served in the United States Navy as a Seabee and was a member of the American Legion in Hudson Falls.

In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Liberty and Jerry Liberty; sisters, Shirley McGowan and Mary Spooner.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Penny Liberty; son, Ken Liberty and wife Bethany; daughters, Christine Kwarta and husband Eddie, Michelle Turner; grandchildren, Taylor Turner, Shelby Kwarta, Kayleigh Liberty, Sawer Liberty and Jacob Liberty; sister, Fredia Saville and husband George; brother-in-law, Don Bly and wife Betty; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Ken’s request there will be no calling hours.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 136 Main St. South Glens Falls, NY 12803 with Rev. Guy A. Childs officiating.

Rite of Committal will follow at Union Cemetery in Fort Edward.

Memorial donations in Ken’s memory may be made to Double H Hole in the Woods Ranch, 97 Hidden Valley Rd. Lake Luzerne, NY 12846.
