GLENS FALLS
Harold Thomas Hay, 69, of Stevens St. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 30, 2017 at the Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Glens Falls, NY on July 22, 1947, he was the son of the late, Jack and Olean (Comisky) Hay.

Growing up, Harold attended South Glens Falls Schools.

He was a longtime member of the Calvary’s Assembly of God Church in Glens Falls.

Harold worked at Carl R’s performing many odd jobs, he also performed various odd jobs around the Glens Falls region including lawn care. He was employed with the Glens Falls Hospital as janitorial staff, as well as Binches (Native Textiles) in Glens Falls for many years.

He enjoyed vegetable gardening, riding his bicycle and visiting friends. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his two cats, Baby and Suzie.

In addition to his parents, Harold is predeceased by his brother in law, Butch Anderson.

Left to cherish his memory are his longtime companion, Maria Scarpellino; his children, Carol Quinn and her husband, Larry, Harold Hay II and his wife, Tina, Brenda Perry and Kim LaTour; his brother Gerald Hay and his wife, Lynn; his sister, Cathy Anderson; his former wife and the mother of his children, Rita Miner; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted following calling hours at the funeral home.

Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
