Obituary for Elizabeth Grace "Betty" Scarselletta

Glens Falls

Elizabeth Grace Scarselletta, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Moreau she was the daughter of the late Allen and Inez May (Carlton) Mosher.

Betty graduated from South Glens Falls High School.

On October 5, 1948 she married the love of her life Orlando Scarselletta, who passed on the same date February 18, 1999.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls.

Betty enjoyed the 4th of July picnic with the family and Christmas Eve Italian Party with the family.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Orlando Scarselletta; her sons, Roland, and Michael Scarselletta; her daughter, Mary Ann Scarselletta; her sisters, Katherine Lockwood, Elaine McFaul, Shirley Abare, Lola Stone, Lona Atkinson, Chrystal Palmeri, and Gail Brothers; her brothers, Gary, Kenneth, and Peter Mosher;

Left to cherish Betty’s memory include her daughters, Patricia Scarselletta of Naples, Fl, and Nancy Scarselletta of Fort Edward; her sons, Steven (Bonnie) Scarselletta of Hudson Falls, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Scarselletta of Hudson Falls; grandchildren, Karen Caprood of Glens Falls, Keith Caprood of Hartford, Samantha Poot (Jesse) of Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, Shae Scarselletta of Hudson Falls, Gregory Scarselletta and Kayla Scarselletta of Hudson Falls; great grandchildren, Alexis Lee Gray (Matt) of Glens Falls and Melanie Caprood of Glens Falls; her sister, Margaret (Dolly) Manney of Queensbury; her brothers, Martin Mosher of Queensbury, and John Mosher of Texas; sister-in-law, Dora Mosher of Queensbury; brother-in-law, Carl Brothers of Comstock; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 3-6:30p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 136 Main St. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at the funeral home following the calling hours at 6:30p.m.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
