Helen H. Griffin, 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Orchard Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Granville, NY.

Born on October 15, 1925 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Earl B. and Marguerite (Nichols) Hoskins.

Helen retired as a school teacher, teaching school in Fort Edward and Argyle. She was a member of the Fort Edward Village Baptist Church and the Fort Edward Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, #376.

After retirement she enjoyed traveling to Florida, golfing, reading, having lunch at the Family Diner and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband Howard Griffin; her brother, Earl J. Hoskins.

Left to cherish her memory includes her sons, Keith Griffin and his wife Lynne of Fort Edward and Craig Griffin and his wife Sherry of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Kristine Geer and her husband Jeremiah of Fort Edward, and Andrea Griffin of Chicago; great grandchildren, Griffin Geer and Nora Geer; sister, Ruth Russell and her husband Robert of Burnt Hills; sister-in-law, Jean Hoskins-Smith of Hudson Falls; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Union Cemetery.
