Obituary for William R. "Bill" Woodard

William R. "Bill"  Woodard
Argyle

William R. Woodard, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital with his family by his side.

Born on August 2, 1935 in Corinth he was the son of the late Emery and Margaret (Pike) Woodard.

Bill went to South Glens Falls High School and graduated from RPI with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He was employed at Hannaford in South Glens Falls where he worked in the produce section and loved talking and meeting the customers. He enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and hiking. He loved spending time with his six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and being involved in everything that they did. He enjoyed going to the Peppermill with his daughter.

He was a member of the Bishop Hunting Club.

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his brother, E. Richard Woodard.

Left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Kimberlee Wood and her husband, John, of Argyle, Colleen Coulter and her husband, Chuck, of South Glens Falls; his son, Gregory Woodard of Greensboro, NC; his grandsons, Michael Wood and his wife, Rebecca, of Hudson Falls, Jonathan Wood and his significant other, Beth Manney, of Hudson Falls, and Bradley Coulter of Hudson Falls; his granddaughters, Courtney Perkins and her husband, Jamie, of Fort Edward, Ashleigh Wood and her significant other, Matthew Brown, of Hudson Falls, and Brittany Coulter of South Glens Falls; and nine great grandchildren, and a niece, a nephew, cousins, and an aunt.

Friends may call from 4 to 6p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 136 Main St. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

Funeral service will be held at the funeral home following the calling hours at 6 p.m.

Burial will be conducted in the spring at Prospect Cemetery.

Donations in William’s memory may be made to the South Glens Falls Marathon Dance, 6 Bluebird Rd, South Glens Falls, NY 12803 or to the Argyle Emergency Squad, Inc, 15 Sheridan St., Argyle, NY 12809.
