Randorum L. "Randy"  Keech
South Glens Falls

Randorum “Randy” Keech, 68, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 25, 1949, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late, Orville and Hazel (Scipture) Keech.

Randy married the love of his life, Marie Traver, in Hawaii, on Dec. 3, 1969.

He was a 1968 graduate of South High and an Army Veteran. Randy served in Vietnam as an Army Sniper, earning numerous medals including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Air Medal, 2d Class Gunner (M-60 MG), and Expert (Rifle).

Randy worked for several years as a meat cutter with Hannaford and Grand Union. He retired from the Town of Moreau Highway Dept. in 2011.

He enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp, golfing and fishing with his many friends. He was also a member of VFW, Eagles and the Hudson Falls American Legion.

In addition to his parents, Randy is predeceased by his brother, Olin Keech; and a niece and nephew.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife of 47 years, is his son, Andrew Keech and his wife, Michele; his daughter, Shari Rillahan and her husband, Brenden; his grandsons, Dylan Keech, Carter Rillahan and Alex Delisle; his sisters, Sherry Burnell and her husband, Ernie, Linda Nichols and her husband, Wayne; his mother-in-law, Sue Traver; his sisters-in-law, Judy Bonitatibus and her husband, Mike, Sandy Koskinas and her husband, John; Randy will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Randy’s family wishes to extend many thanks to Dr. Amy Hogan, Beth and all the wonderful, caring staff at Glens Falls Renal Center.

Burial will follow calling hours at 3pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
