Marjorie Butler, 88, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the Washington Center Nursing Home in Argyle.

Born on January 5, 1929 in Glens Falls to the late, Theofile and Edith (Zeto) LaViolette.

Marjorie retired from Native Textiles after 30 years of service. Marjorie was member of the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witnesses in Glens Falls and enjoyed working around her house to make it beautiful. She also loved spending time with her youngest sister, Mildred, going to garage sales and to the Peppermill.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Erwin Butler; her son, James Ingalls; and her sister, Madelyn Edgerly.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Debbie Sweet and Carolyn Knickerbocker; her son, Mike LaViolette and his wife, Chris; her sister, Mildred Pratt; her daughter-in-law, Donna Ingalls; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At Marjorie’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations can be made in Marjorie’s name to the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witnesses, 81 Mohican Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
