Donna Lee Myott, 65, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born November 30, 1951 in Granville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Shirley (White) Myott.

Donna graduated in 1970 from Roy C. Ketcham Sr. High School in Wappingers Falls, NY.

In May of 1978 Donna enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, TX and in Goeppingen, Germany. While she was in the Army for three years she earned the Army Commendation Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

She was an active member in the St. Andrews Lutheran Church for over ten years. She worked for Mallinckrodt from 1981 until she started working at Ace Hardware RSC in Wilton. Donna worked at Ace until her retirement in 2010.

Donna loved spending time with her family and friends especially her granddaughter, Saige. She liked doing yard work, crossword puzzles, dice, tiles, watching T.V. and wine time with her best friends.

In addition to her parents, Donna is predeceased by her brother, Dennis Myott; her nephew, Kenny D. Palmer Jr.; her paternal grandparents, Francis and Teresa Myott; and her maternal grandparents, Everest and Irene White.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, David Myott and his wife, Audrey of Fort Ann; her sisters, Diane Doner and her husband, Barry of Ontario, Canada, Denise Dashnaw of Hudson Falls, and Deirdre Patton and her husband, William of South Glens Falls; her best friends, Helen Brown of South Glens Falls, and Darleen and Buzz Seaver of Ganesvoort and Monica Saylors of Queensbury; her dog, Shaggy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

Funeral services will be conducted after calling hours at 6pm with Rev. Joyce Fiore, pastor of St. Andrews Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be at 10:30 am on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s name can be made to the Open Door Soup Kitchen, 47 Lawrence St. Glens Falls, NY 12801 or to the St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 600 Gansevoort Rd, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
