Obituary for Nathan J "Farmer" Deyoe

Argyle

Nathan “Farmer” Deyoe, 88, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Washington Center Nursing Home.

Born on October 25, 1928 in Argyle, NY to the late Judson and Anna Deyoe.

On June 30, 1956, Nathan married Eileen Morrison at the South Argyle United Presbyterian Church. They were married for 52 years until her passing in January of 2009.

Nathan enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing scrabble, rummy and bocce ball, and loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory include his children, Chris Deyoe and his fiancé, Sandy Teft-Bain, Cindy Dessaint and her husband, Ronald, Clay Deyoe, and Vicki Askew and her husband, John; his seven grandchildren, Nicole Deihl and her husband, John, Heather, Nathan, Alycia, Jonathan, Makaleigh, Cristi and her mother, Peggy Deyoe; his step-grandchildren, Ronald Dessaint and his wife, Donna, Katherine Scott and her husband, Andrew; his sister, Louise Rice; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Nathan’s request there will be no calling hours.

Burial for Nathan will be with his wife, Eileen and will be private at the convenience of the family at the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Argyle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 6pm at the American Legion Argyle Post 1518, 7 Ct. Rte 47, Argyle, NY 12809.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nathan’s memory can be made to the Argyle Emergency Squad, Inc. 15 Sheridan St. Argyle, NY 12809 or to the American Legion Argyle Post 1518, 7 Ct. Rte 47, Argyle, NY 12809.
