Obituary for Barbara Munoff (Selfridge)

South Glens Falls

Barbara (Selfridge) Munoff, 78, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the Glens Falls Hospital, with her daughter by her side.

Born on October 3, 1938 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Marian (Smith) Selfridge.

She graduated from Hudson Falls Central School and went on to take 6 post graduate courses in Business also at Hudson Falls Central School. She enjoyed drawing, painting and pastels and took several art courses. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, landscaping and interior decorating and took several courses on landscaping and interior decorating. She was an avid reader. She also helped her husband write, proof read and illustrate his last unpublished book about Owls.

Barb was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was married to her husband Joe for 53 years until his passing in 2013. She resided in Gansevoort, NY for over 47 years and is survived by her two sons, Mark Munoff and his wife, Jane of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Michael Munoff and his wife, Lisa of Syracuse; her daughter, Marta Stipano of South Glens Falls; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; her brother, Bill Selfridge and his wife, Shirley; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara will be dearly missed and will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who always had a positive attitude and patience. She has many lifelong friends and enjoyed spending time with them and her family.

A funeral service will follow calling hours at 6pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
