SOUTH GLENS FALLS

David P. Libby, 69, of Lamplighter Acers, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 with his family and friends by his side.

Born December 17, 1947 in Bath, ME, he was the son of the late Philip and Marion (Thompson) Libby.

David worked for Bath Ironworks until he moved to New York where he was a welder for 30 years. After his retirement, his hobbies were woodworking and visiting friends in Pennsylvania. The beautiful pieces of furniture that he hand-crafted will serve as his mark to be left for future generations.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sisters Patricia Poulin and Pamela St. Hilaire, as well as his sister in law Mary E. Delvaux.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of eleven years, Patricia (Casey) Libby of South Glens Falls, his son David P. Libby III of Corinth, his daughter Tina Roberts and her husband Gary of Opp, Al, his brothers; Donald Libby and his wife Dora of West Bath, ME, and Bruce Libby and his wife Helen of Florida, his sister-in-law Kathryn Hildebrand and her husband Richard of South Glens Falls, as well as many nieces and nephews.

At David’s request there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
