Carole Frances (Lundgren) Sumner, 78, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born December 4, 1938 in South Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late, Alfred and Margaret (Meader) Lundgren.

Carole married the love of her life Elwyn Sumner on August 14, 1954 in Sandy Creek, NY.

She enjoyed making many different arts and crafts and reading.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Leo Lundgren, Robert Lundgren, Neil Lundgren and Emil Lundgren.

In addition to her husband of 64 years, left to cherish her memory include her children, Cathy Bowe and her significant other, Harry Mumblo, Mark Sumner and his wife, Linda, and Matt Sumner and his fiancé, Mary Kay Kelly; her 7 grandchildren; her 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pall bearers will be Paul Bowe, Norman Sweet, Rick Greene, Shawn Sumner, Justin Jeffrey and Brian Garland.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Powhida, pastor officiating.

A graveside service will follow the services at the Union Cemetery, Fort Edward.
