Condolence From: Karen Smith
Condolence: My family wanted to let you know how sad we were to hear of Loren's passing. Our daughter Lea and Loren and Catherine's daughter Karen were close pals for some time. So Lea and I got to spend some wonderful times at the Kitt home. During a get together, the girls would be laughing and having a great time and you could sometimes hear Loren practicing clarinet in the background. When talking to Loren I always found him to be a calm, grounded and very gracious person. Catherine and Karen you are in our thoughts. Wishing you peace.

Condolence From: Brett Lerner
Condolence: Music lost a great one, and I a dear friend, with Loren’s passing. It is said that you learn a great deal about one’s character on the golf course and it is through many rounds that I came to know Loren as dependable, gracious and charming. It was his humility I found most endearing. On the course, he would quickly chalk a great shot up to luck. Off the course, I expect many mid-coast locals are reading Loren’s obit and only now learning of his professional accomplishments and the fact that he was a very big deal.
To Catherine and entire Kitt family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Please cherish his legacy and the enduring mark he has left on so many.
