Clifford T. Reed, 80, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 4, 1937 in Corinth, he was the son of the late Clifford Reed and Gladys (Vanleu) Reed Stanley.

On November 23, 1961, Cliff married Lucy Mattison at the First Presbyterian Church in Glens Falls.

Cliff worked at Native Textiles in Glens Falls as a truck driver and warehouseman for 33 years until his retirement. After retirement he worked at The Great Escape and at Magic Forest running the train and the scrambler.

He loved going fishing, hunting, camping and taking long rides in the car. Cliff’s favorite pastime was watching construction being built around the Queensbury and Glens Falls area.

In addition to his parents, Cliff is predeceased by his daughter, Amy Reed Alston Gerald; his infant son, Clifford John Reed; his siblings, Wallace Reed and Thelma Barrett.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years; his children, Terrie Lee Reed, Robert Allan Reed and his significant other, Veronica Poutre; his son-in-law, Richard Gerald; his grandchildren, Ronnie Morehouse and his wife, Angela, Donald Morehouse and his partner, James Benedetti, Roger Caldwell; his step-grandchildren, Michael and Miranda Brownell; his siblings, Alfred Reed and his wife, Gladys, Laura Linendoll and her husband, Bob, Gail Hermance, Sharon Nichols, Gloria Chesney, Carol Pike and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will follow the calling hour at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Pine View Cemetery in Queensbury.

Memorial donations in Cliff’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
