Obituary for Debbie Rose Olmsted

Newcomb

Debbie R. Olmsted, 61, passed away peacefully Friday, December 08, 2017 at her home.

Born June 19, 1956 in Glens Falls she was the daughter of the late Delbert and Roslie (Smith) Smith.

She graduated from South Glens Falls High School class of 1974.

Debbie married the love of her life, Wesley Olmsted on June 29, 1974 in South Glens Falls.

She was a member of the Newcomb United Methodist Church.

Debbie was employed by the Newcomb Senior Meal Site at the Town Hall in Newcomb.

She enjoyed being outdoors, her gardens, motorcycle’s, sport shooting at the range, being on her computer, her dog, and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years, Wesley Olmsted; her son, Charles Olmsted; grandchildren, Skylar Roselena Chatterton, Michael Patrick Chatterton, and Samantha Corlew (Ken); great grandchildren, Sophia Corlew and Ken Corlew Jr.; sister, Sylvia Gregory (Kenneth); niece, Rebecca Gregory; nephews, Ken Gregory Jr. and Delbert J. Gregory.

At Debbie’s request there will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced in Newcomb.

Memorial donations in Debbie’s memory can be made to the Newcomb Rescue Squad 20 Marcy Ln, Newcomb, NY 12852 or Long Lake Rescue Squad P.O. Box 415 Long Lake, NY.
