Obituary for Ellen C. Speyer

Montrose Colorado

Ellen C. Speyer, 64, of Colorado, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany after a brief illness.

Born on New York City on April 24, 1954, she was the daughter of Sylvia (Zeikowitz) Speyer and the late Edward Speyer who passed away on Nov. 29, 2017.

Ellen was a Humanistic Psychologist working in her private practice in Georgia before her retirement. She dedicated her life to helping others and was a champion for the less fortunate.

Left to cherish her memory besides her mother include her longtime companion, Jack Mandolare of Colorado, her brother, Kenneth J. Speyer and his wife Ann of CT, her nephews, David Speyer and Daniel Speyer, her cousins, David Fine and his wife Ginny and their children; Bruce Silverman and his children; Jack’s family including his father, John Mandolare of Fort Edward, his sister, Christine Bruno and husband Peter of Warrensburg, his twin brother, James Mandolare of Albany.

At her request there will be no calling hours or services.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fort Edward.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
