Always Laughter

I have known Diane and Roy my entire life. Thinking back about all the memories, man, there are so many, but the common theme is always laughter. We were neighbors growing up and always at each other's house. I can remember as my mom and dad and Diane and Roy were playing cards, I would try to drink the whiskey sour foam out of their glasses! We were playing and laughing; our folks were playing and laughing. I remember someone chasing Roy up a pole in their front yard with a garden hose! One year, Roy made us toy boxes and I still have mine! The man built things to last! We laughed - all the time! And when Diane and Roy moved onto Dick Hill, the laughter didn't end, the adventures just got better. There were kids everywhere! In the house, out of the house - didn't matter. We lived life! We lived life together and it was wonderful! And my favorite memory isn't a memory, it lives with me still is my nickname at the Wade house - Alice - the name Roy gave me - the name ONLY a Wade can use! I'm grateful for it; it makes me smile to hear it because when I do, I know I'm with family and what follows next is laughter!!
