Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Pullen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Sue Lemery Smyth
Condolence: My family lived in the same neighborhood as the Pullen’s. My dad, Ed Lemery, used to hang out with John, either on his porch or ours, and enjoy a few beers. My brothers and sisters and I grew up with, who we fondly referred to as, “the Pullen kids.” I have a very vivid memory of Mr. Pullen (that’s who he was to us kids) I played in a local summer softball league with his daughter, Kendall. At one game, Mr. Pullen had come to watch, and when Kendy was up to bat, he shouted out, “Let’s go Lala, you can do it!” Although I am sure she loved his pet name for her at home, it apparently embarrassed her in public. She replied, “DAD??!!!” He laughed and smiled with that very infectious smile he had…and shouted it again. His smile and wit will be sorely missed. My condolences to all who will miss him.

Condolence: Dear Pullen family, I'm so very sad to hear of John's passing. What a special man he was with a wicked sense of humor! He was very kind and caring and I have the best memories from the years when I rented the upstairs room. I was lucky to have known him and he will always hold a special place in my heart. God bless.

Condolence: I have so many wonderful childhood memories of being at the Pullen house. Mr.Pullen was always so kind and generous. I went to the house every morning on my way to Junior High to walk with Kendall the rest of the way...and usually on the way home too. I spent many nights there too, either on the CB radio or downstairs playing the piano. I saw John recently at Wal-Mart and he gave me a big hug and said to my husband "you got a good one". I will truly miss him and send a big hug to all of "the boys" and everyone who was blessed to have John in their life.I am out of town the day of his life celebration but will be there in spirit. Melissa
