Condolence: My sincere condolences in losing a great man. I had the opportunity to work with Jim on several occasions and he was a brilliant chemist. Not only did he solve problems, he did it with a smile and could teach in a way that anyone could understand. I could pick up a phone anytime and he would be more than willing to take the time to consult and teach. Jim, you will be truly missed, people like you only come around once in a lifetime, I'm glad I could share a small piece of it with you!

Condolence: Dear Laurie and Robin,

I am so saddened by Jim's passing and sorry for your loss.

Jim and I had the opportunity to work together several times over the past 20 years and often exchanged ideas. He was one of the best silicone release chemists I know. More importantly, he was one of the best people to be around.

My fondest memory of Jim was the culmination of a year-long project which included dozens of conference calls. From the beginning we promised each other we would hoist a cold one at the end. We had that opportunity at a local pub outside Mentor OH a few years back, along with a lot of laughs. Cheers to you, Jim Hayes!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and I wish you peace.

Condolence: Until we meet again I wish you well
I hope your light shines easily
And until we meet again it doesn't matter how we've done
On Atholl side I'll see you further on
* Dougie MacLean

Laurie & Robin: A little while ago, we had a wonderful time chatting with Jimmy & Dave Thompson at O'Tooles, reminiscing about the "old times." He was proudly wearing a Siena College 1/4 zip and had that charismatic Jimmy smile and Irish laughter going during the entire conversation. We'll always remember deviled eggs, the Lake Placid Half Marathon, the YMCA runs, the "mountain", Siena & BC. Jimmy was a good man and friend. Jimmy loved Dougie MacLean's music, especially this one. Thinking of you all. Kevin & Karen

Condolence: Please accept sincere condolences to family and colleagues of Jim from myself and many of my colleagues at Dow Corning. Jim was a fierce competitor in his GE days and then a tough customer at Avery Dennison. It is clear that he had great impact on both the silicone and pressure sensitive industries. He is nearly a legend at our company. Appreciate his technical expertise, his ability to push our technical teams to do better, his innovation and problem solving capabilities, and his driven nature. We will greatly miss him in our visits.

Condolence: Laurie and Robyn:

We are saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Remember like it was yesterday how fun Jim was at our daughter graduation party.

May the love Jim had for both of you help guide you in the coming time ahead. Heaven gained a beautiful angel and all that knew him will greatly miss his smiling face.

If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call.

Many hugs,

Lisa and Hans Jr

Condolence: I am very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was a wonderful man who brought a jovial light wherever he was. I would like to say how proud I was to know him if only as his trusted server at Bistro Tallulah. Jim, Robyn, and Laura treated me and so many others with such grace and kindness. His smile was always a shot in the arm, his lighthearted chuckle was one of a kind, and his sincerity was unmistakable. He was a fighter and fight he did, now he may rest and walk easy. Thanks you Jim and rest in everlasting peace.

Your friend,
"Tony"
