Obituary for Jo-Anne Hunt

Jo-Anne (Corp) Hunt, 72, of Clark Rd. passed away on September, 25, 2016 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born in Mechanicville, NY on January 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late, Charles and Helen (Wixted) Corp.

Jo-Anne attended Mechanicville High School graduating in the Class of 1961 and later went on to earn her associates degree from ACC in the Class of 1992.

She faithfully attended the Pine Knolls Alliance Church for many years with her husband, Glenn.

On January 20, 1962, she married the love of her life, Glenn Hunt in Mechanicville, NY and they spent 54 loving years together. Jo-Anne was a stay at home mother, who raised her children in the family home.

She enjoyed horseback riding which is how she met her husband, spending time with her animals, and reading. She also loved traveling the Northeast with her husband, camping and most of all spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Glenn Hunt; her daughter, Stephanie-Jo (Keith) Burch; her sons, Stephen (Lisa) Hunt and Christopher (Michelle) Hunt; her brothers, Charles “Pete” (Rebecca) Corp and William “Dickie” (Barb) Corp; her grandchildren, Keith Alan Burch Jr. (his companion, Nicole Villano and her daughter Audra.), Mallory (Chris) Holman, Amanda Hunt, Owen Hunt, Emily Hunt and Kimberly Bracken; her special aunt, Mary Wixted; her sisters in law, Susan (Michael) Hughes and Patricia (Jerry) Borge; as well as several, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday September 29, 2016 at 4 pm at the Pine Knolls Alliance Church, So. Glens Falls, with the Rev. William Church, associate pastor, officiating. A reception will follow with light refreshments.

Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
