We are never ready for the passing of one we love deeply, especially when death comes very early in life. I empathize with you as you both grieve the loss which you know so personally and celebrate the fullness of life which John lived. Continue in the confidence that you are each and all within the care of The One who cares for us more than all others together. Cry and laugh as you are moved: they both help us accept and process so that the loss becomes more gentle and the celebration more full. Though it may not seem such at the moment, God's love continually surrounds and embraces you...and will heal.
