My heart sank a couple of days ago when I got the phone call from my sister who was in hysterics. Matthew was, for a very long time, part of the Herbold family. He had a connection with everyone of us. In reality....he always has been part of our family. We kept in contact over the years...especially my sister and him. I feel as though I have lost a brother. I will always remember Matt for his humor...he was always making us laugh! He had such a beautiful smile. My heart breaks for him, Jason and Mr. and Mrs. Moore. For his children...for everyone who's lives he's touched. I will miss him terribly. I love you Matt... "M R ducks, M R not ducks! C D E D B D wings??? O! M R ducks!" and then there was a little rhyme you taught me about a little birdie on a window sill but it wasn't very appropriate. ;-) You always treated me like your favorite little sister. And I know that if my parents were still alive, their hearts would be broken as well. So please, when you see them and after my Mother slaps you across the face and then hugs you tight....give them both a hug for me. I will never forget you. Until we see each other again.... from all the Herbold's...we love you Matthew.
